Terms of Service

The rules for using FullCastBook: credits and subscriptions, the rights you need for the books you upload, voice cloning, who owns the audio, and our responsibilities.

Last updated October 21, 2026

Effective date: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of fullcastbook.com and the FullCastBook audiobook generator (the "Service"), operated by FullCastBook ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy and to our Refund Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms for you.

2. What the Service does

FullCastBook turns written text into audio. You upload a manuscript or ebook, the Service finds the chapters and speaking characters, assigns AI voices to the narrator and the cast, lets you direct delivery with written directions and sound tags, and exports audio files such as MP3 or M4B.

The Service uses AI models from third-party providers. AI output can contain mistakes: mispronounced names, lines given to the wrong character, odd pacing, or audio artifacts. Always review your audio before you publish or share it. Features marked as beta or preview may change or be withdrawn at any time.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and your account information accurate. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at support@fullcastbook.com if you believe someone else has accessed it. Do not create accounts by automated means, and do not create several accounts to collect extra free credits.

4. Credits, plans and payments

Credits. Generating audio and some other features use credits. The credit cost of an action is shown on our pricing page or in the Service before you run it.

Free credits. New accounts may receive free credits. We decide the amount, and we can change or withdraw free credits at any time. Free credits are for evaluating the Service, one allowance per person.

Subscriptions. Subscriptions are billed in advance for each monthly or yearly period and renew automatically until you cancel. Each period comes with the credits shown for your plan when you subscribed. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan and credits until the end of the period you have paid for.

Credit packs. One-time credit packs are charged once and do not renew.

Expiry. Credits are valid for the period shown when you buy them. Unused credits expire at the end of that period and are not carried over unless we say otherwise at purchase.

No cash value. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and cannot be exchanged for money except as described in our Refund Policy or required by law.

Failed generations. If a generation fails because of an error on our side, the credits it used are returned to your balance automatically.

Prices and taxes. Prices are shown at checkout and may include or exclude taxes depending on your location. We may change prices; a new price for an existing subscription applies from your next billing period, and we will tell you in advance.

Payment providers. Payments are processed by Stripe or Creem, and in some regions by Alipay or WeChat Pay. Alipay and WeChat Pay purchases are one-time charges and do not renew automatically. Where a payment provider acts as the seller of record, its terms of sale also apply to your purchase.

Refunds and chargebacks. Refunds follow our Refund Policy. Credits you have already used are not refundable. If you dispute a charge with your bank without contacting us first, we may suspend the account while the dispute is open.

5. Your content and who owns the audio

You keep your rights. You keep all rights you have in the text, files and voice samples you upload ("Input"). As between you and us, you own the audio and exports the Service generates for you ("Output"), and we assign to you any rights we may have in it. You may use your Output for any lawful purpose, including selling it, subject to these Terms.

What AI output means for ownership. In some countries, content generated by AI may not be protected by copyright, or only partly. Library voices are available to all users, so other people may create audio that sounds similar to yours.

Voices. The voices in our library, and the models behind them, belong to us or our providers. You may use audio generated with them, but you may not try to extract or copy a voice itself, for example by training another model to imitate it, and you may not present a library voice as the voice of a real, identifiable person.

The permission you give us. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process and transmit your Input and Output, including sending it to our AI providers, only so we can operate and provide the Service to you. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where the law requires us to keep them.

What we don't do. We do not publish your content, and we do not use your Input or Output to train our own AI models.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

6. Acceptable use

Rights to the text. You may only upload text you own or have every right needed to turn it into audio. Audio rights are often separate from print and ebook rights; if you have a publisher, check who holds them. Works in the public domain where you live are fine.

Books you've bought. You may only upload files you are allowed to use and that are free of DRM. Do not remove, bypass or break DRM or any other copy protection, and do not upload files obtained that way. Do not distribute audio made from books you don't have the rights to.

Voice cloning and real people. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has given you explicit permission to clone it and use it the way you intend. Do not create audio that imitates, impersonates or claims to be a real person, including public figures, without their consent. Do not use the Service to deceive, defraud or mislead people about who is speaking.

Disclose AI narration. When you publish or distribute audio made with the Service, disclose that it is AI-narrated wherever the law, a platform or a retailer requires it. Do not present it as narrated by a human or by a specific real person.

Prohibited content. Do not use the Service for content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, sexualizes minors, harasses or threatens people, promotes violence or hatred, or is defamatory.

Prohibited behavior. Do not scrape, reverse engineer or overload the Service; bypass credit, usage or rate limits; resell or share access to your account; interfere with the Service's security; or use bots to access it except through an API we offer for that purpose.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

7. Publishing your audiobook

You are responsible for meeting the rules of every store, distributor or platform where you publish your audio, for example Audible, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Spotify or Kobo. Their policies on AI narration differ and change over time. For example, ACX, Audible's audiobook production platform, currently requires audiobooks to be narrated by a human unless it has authorized otherwise, so audio made with FullCastBook is generally not accepted there. We do not promise that any platform will accept your audio.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as AI model providers, payment processors and hosting providers. Their own terms may apply to your use of their features, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.

9. Changes to the Service and availability

We are constantly improving the Service and may add, change or remove features, voices or models. We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may set reasonable limits, for example on file size or book length.

10. Ending your use of the Service

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect the Service or other users. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, unused credits are forfeited. If we close your account or discontinue the Service for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of any paid credits pro rata.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that AI output will be accurate, complete or suitable for any particular store or purpose. Nothing on the Service is legal advice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

13. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from content you upload or distribute, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

14. Copyright complaints

If you believe content processed through the Service infringes your copyright, email support@fullcastbook.com with your contact details, the work you own, where the infringing material appears, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will act on valid notices and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of [location — to be confirmed], unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country still apply. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and for material changes we will tell you by email or in the Service before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

17. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right right away, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
